ādivāsi

exists to honour the first stewards of this land.

ādivāsi is founded on a simple truth

India's indigenous communities are not beneficiaries of nature. They are its first stewards.

Across forests, grasslands, wetlands, coasts, and mountains, Adivasi communities have sustained landscapes through knowledge systems refined over generations. These systems hold answers to biodiversity conservation, climate resilience, and social equity. Yet they remain undervalued, under-documented, and increasingly at risk.

ādivāsi exists to change this.

Nilgiris Indigenous Livelihoods & Resilience Initiative

A community-led model for economic dignity, cultural continuity, and ecological stewardship. This initiative enables sustainable, community-owned livelihoods that strengthen income, dignity, and resilience, without displacing communities from their land, culture, or way of life. The project develops community-owned honey enterprises, forest-based products, women's craft collectives, youth employment pathways, and low-impact homestay experiences. Communities generate value on their own terms, rooted in indigenous knowledge and environment.
